I am a 5th generation descendant

of "The Valley."

My family trees are of Las Mesitas, Guadalupe, LosBatos and Conejos.

I was born and raised in Denver, but my blood, heart and soul are of the San Luis Valley. I am a lifetime member of the SPMDTU, founded in Antonito, as were my grandparents and great grandparents. I have been entertaining as Janelle St. Christopher for almost 30 years. I was elected and served as Empress 34 of the Imperial Court of the Rocky Mountain Empire, the oldest LGBTQ+ organization in Colorado. I was also the 8th Miss Gay Pride of ALL Colorado 1995-1996. I always consider Alamosa my home away from home and always blessed to spending time with my family when I'm in Alamosa. It was an honor to entertain in the inaugural SLV Pride in 2019 and return in 2021. This year, my journey brings me home once again.
