SLV Pride Fest

August 2020 is SLV Pride Month!

The 2020 SLV PrideFest is taking a VIRTUAL shape to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 within our community.  This does not diminish our Pride, but rather reinforces the need to help and support those in our community.  Here is a list of free and COVID-friendly activities that you can participate in for PrideFest 2020!

August 1-31, 2020 - Come see art from local LGBTQ+ artists at Milagros Coffee House 529 Main Street in Alamosa (corner of State Ave. & Main St.)  The art show will hang all month!

August 17-23, 2020 - You have a week to get as many clues as you can in the SLV Pride Scavenger Hunt!  Click on the button to see rules and register!

August 28, 2020 - 7:00 p.m.  - "Trans 101 - Trans Ally Education".   Trans activist Jazmine James will be leading us in an educational exploration of the basics of being a trans ally, and how cis-gendered folks can show intentional respect and support to those in our trans community.  Discussion will be held via Zoom.

CANCELLED!   We have talked to the City, and we are cooperating in their request to not have the parade this year due to COVID-19 risks.

August 29th, 2020 - 6:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.  We will be live streaming Kansas City's DJ SirQueen who will be playing big LGBTQ+ anthems and club music for your dancing pleasure as well as hosting some awesome drag performances!
Will be available on our web page as well as our social media platforms.

August 29, 2020 - Mrs. Eda Bagel, a nationally renowned Female Impersonator, will be back performing during our Virtual Dance Party.

San Luis Valley Pride knows that our community is struggling through the COVID-19 global pandemic, and that there may not be extra funds for many of our previous sponsors and community members.  We would like to thank the City of Alamosa and the Alamosa County Local Marketing District for their generous sponsorships so that we were able make our Virtual Pride happen, and keep it free for everyone!

If you would like to donate to SLV Pride to help support our activities and programming which help our LGBTQ+ community members, we would appreciate it.
