August 2022 is SLV Pride Month!

The 2022 SLV PrideFest is back and better than ever! Here is a list of activities that you can participate in for PrideFest 2022!

August 1-31, 2022 - Come see art from local LGBTQ+ artists at Milagros Coffee House 529 Main Street in Alamosa (corner of State Ave. & Main St.)  The art show will hang all month! There will be a special reception from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 5. Come out and meet your next favorite artist!

August 26th, 2022 - Enjoy another round of 13 Love Songs Pride Edition! Performences by local artists at Milagros Coffeehouse Friday, August 26th at 6:30 PM.

August 26, 2022 - All are welcome! Enjoy games, music , comedy and some amazing beer at Square Pegs Brewerks in Alamosa from 8 p.m. until closing!

August 27th, 2022 - Dress up in your favorite Pride gear and get ready to celebrate! Location meet up TBD. This is a walking parade, and the kick off starts at 10:30 a.m.

August 27, 2022 - Come out and support the local LGBTQ+ community in a joyful celebration of love! This is will held at Cole Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This family-oriented event will have a DJ, drag, comedy, bingo, food beer, vendors and more!

 

August 28, 2022 - Come out and enjoy a post PrideFest! Drag Brunch at The Roast! Buffet style brunch with cash bar. 

PRIDEFEST ENTERTAINMENT

Aluna Del Rey

Aluna Del Rey is "The Moon Goddess" from the "4 Corners" area. She will put you under a spell with her dancing. She is Durango Drag Royalty as "Miss Dragrango 2018". She has been performing for 5 years all over Colorado and parts of New Mexico. On the side, she is a model that has worked with major companies like Facebook and Instagram.

Dominque "DMINQ" Robbins

Dominque is a Colorado based National recording artist, singer, songwriter, producer, arranger, teacher and business owner of the first arts and entertainment production company, professional recording studio, and record label in Rocky Ford, CO known as ART MATTERS PRODUCTIONS LLC.

Dominque then took a short break from music in 2019 and returned in 2020 with a total of eleven singles such as “What You Want” “U Luv Me 2” and “All I Wanna Do” just to name a few.

Dominque released his critically acclaimed sophomore album “30” featuring his smash hit “Drunk” which has been featured in various magazines and featured on the YouTube reality show hit Chasing Atlanta Season Five Episode 2! Since then Dominque has gone back to being independent and has been releasing new singles leading up to his third album coming top of 2023 entitled “The Beauty Of It All”.

MaveRick

MaveRick is a dapper, suave and sexy Drag King.  He is a 3 time title holder and former Mister Gay Pride of All Colorado 2018-19. MaveRick has performed all over the state of Colorado and parts of Wyoming. He is a family man, both in real life and in Drag Life. He performs monthly with the Glitter Drag Troupe and is a guest for many monthly and special shows throughout the year. MaveRick is an active member of the LGBTQIA community, has served as a board member at large for Northern Colorado Equality for 5 years. He uses his platform as a performer, to bring awareness and to help fundraise for various needs within the community.

DaVaiVai

DaVaiVai! Farmington’s Favorite Monochromatic Drag Monster Is Here To Slay..Again! Known as a stunt queen and remembered for her out of the box looks, this queen will have you gagging for more! Also known as Miss Congeniality of Dragrango 2020 she is one nice queen with a serious case of RBF (Resting, B****, Face) so don’t be fooled by her scary good looks! Look out because she’s Coming back to San Luis Valley Pride! You don’t wanna miss this! 

Electra Fie

Electra Fie started as a seed in California and was uprooted and transplanted to New Mexico. She is shocking, she is energy, she is power and drive, they are Electra Fie.

Jessica L'Whor

Jessica L’Whor is a nationally known entertainer, local producer, superstar, and activist in the Colorado drag scene. From all ages events to the raunchiest brunch in town, there is absolutely nothing she can’t do.  Jessica L'Whor has been an entertainer in the Colorado scene for 8 years and has created incredible events such as Denver Drag Days, Colorado DIVAs, the largest consistent all ages show, and even breaking the Guinness book of world records for drag brunch in 2019!  She'll make ya laugh, cry, or even pee yourself!

Makeshift Mauraders

The Makeshift Marauders are a SLV born and grown band! Guitarist Mike Brewer and bassist Matt Martinez started the band during the pandemic and brought on drummer Rocio De Lira and vocalist Sianna Morgan shortly after! They have played at various benefit concerts for Daniel Avila and Creede De’Avinsar. Recently they headlined at the Alamosa Young Professionals Block Party for America event in Alamosa!
